Hipster Love Songs

In honor of Valentine's Day, a day we all love to loathe, we decided to share a playlist of some choice love songs (see the sidebar).  Hopefully you discover something new, such as the Aretha song, the Pearl Jam cover, the Avett's lesser known, and others... we could've created a playlist comprised of just Magnetic Fields songs, but what fun would that be?  So we included three.  Also, I realize the irony of calling something a hipster love song playlist, with no real sad songs-- sue me, I'm an optimist.  Check out the track listing, and let our love of music keep you mellow through Monday.  Feel free to suggest other songs in the comments, perhaps I'll extend the playlist...

  1. I was reminded of another one this weekend - Alanis Morrisette's "Head Over Feet." What gal has not loved that love song at some point in her life?
